Release Notes

This version of the event system is currently in production on all the www.microsoft.com servers and is used by the real-time monitoring application for monitoring all IIS requests.

Use the appropriate setup.exe for your system, i.e. 32-bit or 64-bit.

The comment saying this was badly coded is actually unfair. It is coded for production, and that is a different approach than what is talked about in the "ideal" world. This application is meant for speed and efficiency. I know I deal in the financial world and as much as I would love to have objects everywhere it is not a feasible due to performance and efficiency considerations. I like it...

This looks like something written in C back in 1996, just translated to C#. If I coded something this bad, I'd be fired. Microsoft instead exalts it by making it a "Contribution" to the "Community" - yeah right. I wouldn't call this elegant in the slightest. This is a total hack job. It's fast, reliable and easy to use. I would like to be able to send more complex collections of objects, but it's fine as it is.
